Skip - Banned

Skip mut be banned!. I don't know anything about Skip or what happened. If you start flaming or saying stuff against someone, it happens. The old Barn had a lot. There will be none now. A friend was joking about another friend. They are still pals. My friend is still banned.

OK Thanx Ryan, Why is it everything bad is either Liberal or Union?
And what's wrong with having Politics as a hobby or Interest?
 
I do not know why Skip is/was banned.....I do know that politics did enter into some posts.

I have very strong politics and opinions....but...in this forum I'll keep them to myself as that seems to be the rules.

It's a great forum and I'm willing to abide by the rules.

I have been there and done that.. Bless Shelly's heart .longest was a long weekend... Hope she makes it to Hershey with hubby... Like to say hello ..
 
I hope it’s a temporary thing as Skip had some great Model A advice and insights to pass along which I really appreciated. I agree we don't need politics or people fighting with each other over dumb issues on this forum as it really takes away from the spirit of the thing - people sincerely trying to help people. My view is that anytime we wander away from helping people with model A issues, the associated threads should just be deleted and eventually the offenders will figure out that they are wasting their time typing. It was really interesting to watch the post on the Vancouver MAFCA meet deteriorate into a fight and back and forth insults. I was glad to see it was deleted.
 
Well, I guess all here thought I would be banned and to tell the truth I was one of them. I really owe all here and Ryan an apology for my outburst over the weekend and the defamatory posts. I posted what I figured would be a controversial question and then let other posters rile me into making a fool of myself. This all boils down to, this is Ryans board and he can run it as he likes, good or bad I like being here. I had some PM's with Ryan and we came to an agreement since I am still here.

Anyway, to anyone I might have offended, I apologize. To all others I extend the same apology because I acted irresponsibly.
 
James, no apoligy to me neede, alto we had a spirited give and take neither of us got personal, just stated our feelings, and if you by any chance took any of my posts personal let me offer an opoligy now,hope to have another debate with you, it was interesting and enjoyable
 
My dad , when I was a young kid, advised me to never discuss politics or religion with anyone. He said it just causes hard feelings, upset friendships, etc.

We have enough different opinions dealing with Model A problems etc.; we don't need to be discussing politics or religion on this forum.

I miss Skip's posts too.

Ryan, is his probation up can he come back?? Seriously. I'm sure he will behave no political stuff---

Exactly the way I saw it but I guess Ryan saw it differently. No apology necessary, I like a good debate. I guess we will just have to choose the topic more carefully. Debate gets out of hand when the PM's start to get nasty. I prefer to have my debates in the arena where they start and always keep in plain sight

Skip banned!!!??? Not for long I hope. Having got into some heated political stuff on the Old Barn, which probably should have gotten me banned or at least deleted, I absolutely agree this is not the forum for politics. But I must have missed whatever it was that got him in trouble because I have not seen him post anything beyond the pale.
 
Don't know Skip, or what was said, but Ryan runs the Barn like the HAMB, so it must have been something way out of line.

Your dad told you what he was told and the same thing most of us also were told some where along our earlier years! But, as people on this board can plainly see, there are people who just plain can not help themselves, intelligence notwithstanding! Ryan is doing what he should be doing for his good and for our good! If you want a debate site about those banned subjects...go start one. Short memories, indeed. Ruined the old site and caused its' demise..JMO! Lots of teeth grinding , and apologies, when all realized it was gone. Now this man has given all a second chance..and some STILL can not control themselves! Let's all stick to the RULES and to car stuff... Let's also encourage Ryan to stick to his principles.
