Speaking of condensers

For those of us that run the Nu Rex modern upper plate, it might not be a bad idea to pick up a spare condenser to keep with your car. Mine failed after only 700 miles.

When I buy small car parts, I get extra's, I do the same when buyin' toilet repair parts & cheep light bulbs, made in China!:D Bill W.

Yo Bill, when I heard they were gonna quit making incandesant light bulbs, (probly ain't spelt rite) I stocked up on them. Hunnert wat bulbs make good bearing heaters. Place a transmission input shaft bearing on a hunnert wat bulb for few minutes and it will slip over the shaft and fall into place. I may never use them all but not likely that i'll run out.

I don't have problems with the 'modern' set-ups [yet anyway]. Folks say they have a lot of issues with the points and condensers, but, the 'good' [which translates to expensive] ones from a place like NAPA seem to be pretty reliable.
