3X plugs - Wow!

I put my new Champion 3X plugs in my coupe today, and what a difference! I've been dinking around with carb and points and timing trying to get the car to idle smoothly. That didn't work, so I decided to try the plugs. Wow! Smooth idle, even when cold, very smooth acceleration and slightly increased power.

I had been running the Autolight plugs you can get from any vendor, but no more. These plugs are worth the price! (About $20 each at O'Reilly's).

Okay 700RPM what am I missing. O'Reilly's Auto Parts search engine doesnt compute for Champion 3x plugs. At $32 from others that would be a savings worth trying. Thanks ahead for your reply.

Thanks Bob. I couldn't get O'Reilly's search to find those, but your link works. To get mine I just went into my local and asked them and they found the plugs for me.

They had it in stock ? Too bad no O'Reily in NJ. I use the motor crafts, they run fine but I like the looks of the 3x

They had them in the warehouse; I got them next day. You can order on line, but I don't know what shipping would be.

Ray, A new set of Auto-Lites, or Motorcraft would have done the same thing. Spark plugs ARE expendable, just like toilet paper! Do I buy the EXPENSIVE paper, NO! And look what I bought with the SAVINGS!

Bill, all toilet paper is not the same. I was working out of town one time, staying at a cheap
motel, and I had to bring my own toilet paper. I put the stuff the motel supplied on my
service truck in case I ran out of emery cloth.

Sounds like the John Wayne brand toilet paper. Its rough its tough and it don't take no $h#* OFF AH NOBODY!!!

FYI guys, O reilly has bought out VIP. They are in the process of changing all the stores over. Reason I know is a good friend of mine is a store manager at our local VIP.

The Common Law of Business (1914):

There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey. It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
