Engine temp w/o t-stat

We have some cooler weather here in NE Penna, and on my drive to work (25 miles, secondary roads), my '28 barely got over 135* F by the time I arrived. Ambient air temp was about 62* F.

Am running Brassworks HD 10 fin-per-inch radiator, leakless water pump, stock engine 82,000 miles, all else stock, stock, stock.

Temp gauge is a bulb-type, sensor in the outlet neck.

I had the same problem. Wouldn't get over 135 deg. Put in a 160 deg t-stat and a temp gauge at the same time. !60 deg all the time.
Try it. You'll like it. You can always take it out.
