Bonneville

Sorry to say I will miss my dose of SALT this year. The record? GO FOR IT... Jim Langley

Hey Jim. Yes, it would be nice to set a couple of records. We went 401MPH last August and hope to inprove on that and set a record. We ran 436MPH in september at the FIA meet which is set up a little bit different and speeds can really get up there. We will be going back in September also. "if weather allows".

Roadster62,,,,,,,60, that would be a great birthday present. If you have never been, then you need to make it at least once. Mark.

I think someone mentioned my brother's car. He built it with a team of folks from Livermore. The tech inspector said it was built like a 400 mph streamliner. Just need to work on the motor a bit.

We ran 87 on two cylinders at 3000 rpm, and had problems all week with the head not sealing. We also got her up to 95 at 3900 rpm at an undisclosed location in NV when the water tank blew out because of the leaky head gasket. Need to figure out how to keep this head sealed up, and possibly do some serious work on the intake/exhaust situation, custom machining, etc. Anyone on here have any photos of drastically reworked banger motors.

I stopped by your pits a few times but you guys always looked awful busy. I didn't want to interrupt. I did get to see the 408 mph run you guys made.

Hey amodel25. Yes we were very busy wrenching but i always have time to say hello to a fellow barner. We were the fastest car this year with a top speed of 409 MPH with an exit speed of 418. We broke a record that was 358 MPH and we now hold that record at 404 MPH. And we won the hot rod trophy for a second year.

ZZ,is over,How fast did you guys go?

fourtydlx, we ran 382, 399, 405, 407, 409, and made a new record on blown fuel with an average of 404.6. Not bad for a little 299 inch V8 small block motor. Got home last nite and it has been a very long 13 days. Have a little under 4 weeks to recoupe and head back for the FIA meet in September. Hoping for a run near 450.

Good Luck all and {Don / Graybeard} with your 180A Deluxe Phaeton. We await pictures after the run. I take it you recieved the parts needed from A+L PARTS? Again have a Great run,, peter:D
