Suggestions for "FLOOR STORAGE" RE: Floor Console WHEN overdrive is installed

hey folks who has an overdrive and uses a Storage around the shifter on the floor to hold cups and stuff. Any pics and suggestions would be great with the extra shifter.....:confused: Here is an example:

YES we call them Car caddy's here. They are around the shifter and hold stuff and drinks...

Oh... gotcha.. I actually wasn't trying to be silly. I just googled Car Caddy and those were image results I found...

There's a guy who advertises in the back of the restorer. Makes cup holders that mount under the dash. It's a high quality product and would solve your cup holder problem. Think they are around $30 and come powder coated.

We use a little cardboard box to hold the misc junk. Then the cup holder that attached under the dash for a cup holder.

The Dog:cool: just suggested, buy 2 large soft drinks at the Idle Thru, cut off half the height, and with a wood screw & a large flat washer, just screw them to the floorboard. I tole you he was SCHMART! Bill W.

ok LET ME help a bit...Does ANYONE have something like this that has been modified. This is what i am interested in../NOT a cup holder...

Yep.
We had separate one-cup holders, probably from the same company that made the one you show, and used a short drywall screw to fasten them to the floor. They worked, but you really had to look down to see where to put the cup. Also, the adjustable part was always too big or too small. Not sure how it changed so easily and so often.
So I took them out and reverted to the standby -- hand the coffee to my copilot during takeoffs and while trying to keep up while negotiating Gary Indiana road construction. She (copilot Janet) holds the cup until she thinks I've gotten through the worst of it -- or we are wheels-up (Gary reference again) -- and hands it back to me. No better solution available anywhere.

"Give me that coffee cup and use both hands on the wheel!"

"I'm ok!"

"No... give me the cup, get through this part of the road and I'll hand it back to you."

"ok...."

No drinkee or smoke in the car (the A only). I usually manage to spill or drop hot cigar ashes on the seat.
