Replacement shocks -31

no drilling, cutting, or welding

I have just fitted the E bay ones from that guy M.a.c.s Fabrication - bought a few bits off this guy - puller - spreader etc - His name is Ryan Kaye - and his stuff is spot on and he is a very nice fella.

I have only fitted the rear shocks - It is a totally bolt on job and took an hour at the most - I left my original shocks in place and connected ( I doubt that they are doing much to be fair) It has tightened the ride up quite a lot - she is smoother and less inclined to shimmy about ( which is nice)
I am keen to pop the front shocks on soon enough - just need to work out how as my front is lower than std.

You can just see the new shocks peeking out from under her petticoat !

How much lower is your car than standard?? Are you sure that these shocks will not still bolt straight on??

Fantastic looking car Bobby G, did you get the full kit or just the brackets and hardware. Just wondering if you sourced your own shocks or used the gas charged in the kit, I know some said the gas charged are a little stiff, thanksF

My car (a sedan) currently has nicely rebuild originals on the front, but nothing on the back. Do you think any of the vendors of conversion kits be willing to sell just the rear set?

Thanks,
Doug

Doug, I found it worthwhile to buy the complete set from Snyders just to get the rear set. They are great on the rear but the ones for the front were too stiff and I didn't like the looks on the front. I used rebuilt originals on the front and half a Snyders set on the rear. I ended up with the fronts on my doodlebug as she rides rough anyway.
