Splash Shield Mounting ?

How does the Radiator Splash Shield get mounted on a '29 A?

Do the tabs with the D-nuts go:
1. Between the Hood Shelf and Fender flange.
2. Between the Fender flange and the Frame Horn.
3. Inside the Frame Horn.

Someone told me that they thought the tabs go inside the frame horns but he didn't sound like he was sure, so I just want to double check.

I've been searching but can't seem to find any pictures and all the books seem to be written with the understanding that the person doing the assembly is the same person that did the disassembly.
 
The tabs on the front shield go between the frame horns. Rhe screws go thru the hood sill, thru the fender, thru the frame horn, and screw into the tab.
Note: in your fenders is an extra hole between the screw holes and there is a matching hole in the frame horn ; install a 1/4-20 bolt, lock washer, and nut thru the fender and frame horn; this will hold the alienment of the screw holes for the hood sills and front splash shield.
 
Thanks Ron, that's the info I was looking for, I was curious as to what the extra hole was for.

Being the resourceful type I'm sure I could have put it on any one of the 3 ways I listed but I knew 2 of them had to be wrong.
