On our 28 Phaeton, only casting number is a "1" in front of number spark plug. I picked up a Model A engine that has several casting numbers and letters on the top of the cyl. head, "MADE IN USA", 5-11 and above the 5-11 is the letters "REG" the "G" may be an "O" and no S/N on the side of the head, any thoughts on this, curious.

Thanks, Jim :)will be 68 degrees tomorrow:)

The head with casting number "1" in front of number 1 spark plug is an original if the number is indented per Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards (RG&JS) Revised 2011 area 1 page 1-2. The other heads with the additional marking indicate they are aftermarket heads.

:)Thank you so much. I have the origanal head on our 28 Phaeton...I need to get one of those (RJ&JS) manuals, sounds pretty handy....

Thanks again, Jim:)
