41 Deck Lid Lateral Adjustment

Hi All

I love the new forum Ryan! Anyway, I got side tracked this summer building a little Falcon daily driver. Now I'm getting back to roughing out my 41 bodywork.

The trunk lid hinges have slots for up/down adjustment, but how do you get the deck lid lateral fit correct? Mine hits the rear quarter on the passenger side and has a gap on the driver side, it needs to go about 3/32" to the left. I thought about just reaming the holes in the hinge arms. The inside of the trunk where the hinges mount to the package shelf doesn't seem to have any lateral adjustment.

Not sure just how the hinges bolt to the deck lid but if the bolt to the botton and not the side of the inner panel loosen one bolt on one side and the oposit bolt on the other side. Push it sideways and it will move straight across. If it doesn't move enough, tighten the bolts you loosened and and loosened the other two and push sideways again. I have done hundreds of deck lids that way over the last 45 years or so.
