This trunk has been in the family for many many years, but we can't figure out what vintage car it belongs with. This trunk has a drop down front. A straight back. It's approx 42 L X 21 W and 22 H. Sure would appreciate your expertise.

You could buy these in different sizes and fit them to whatever car you had.

Too long for an A rack. Early was 33x16, Late was 34 1/2x 13.

It could be for anything but almost certainly for a larger car. There were a number of manufacturers of accessory trunks. I good starting place would be to look it over closely for any signs of a manufacturers name. Some have small plaques, some simply had a sticker on the inside lining. You may come up with nothing but check everywhere.
