Easy '40 Question

Does the radio delete plate on a '40 deluxe get painted the maroon color of the dash or does it stay shiney (chrome or stainless) as received from the repro companies? (I would have asked the V8 guys on the Early Ford V8 Club site but to many sites and to many logons to remember for this old guy...)

It's painted with the raised ribs left chrome.............I think.

19FORDY is correct. Painted with the stripes polished.
If you go on the Ford Club site... There is a section devoted to '40 Ford inquiries.
