Repo 32 V-8 Motor Mounts

Been looking for some front motor mounts for a 32. Havn't seen many listed, so was wondering if anyone makes a good serviceable mount like the original. I know there are those that weld to the side of the frame, but really prefer to use the stock type mounts. Any leads appreciated.

These mounting brackets were custom made and welded on the frame but I use the original style motor mount on my 32 Powered by a V12 Lincoln. You also can see the transmission mounts.

I made a drawing of the ones I made. They may put the motor slightly higher than original as the crank nut is a little above the circular loop on the spring u bolt clamp thing. So if you copy my drawing you might want to adjust the dimensions to your liking.
The drawing is attached as a PDF.

I advertised for a set of original '32 front motor mounts on the old Fordbarn classified section a couple years ago and was contacted by 3 or 4 people who had them for sale. I think I wound up paying ~ $150.00 for an original set and that was the lowest priced set I could find. Some wanted even more ridiculous $$'s for an original set than what I paid. I believe Dick Spadaro said he had reproduction sets at that time but I can't remember what price he was asking for then. You could contact him by phone at 518-861-5367 or maybe look on his website www.dickspadaro.com J.M.

you could build your own, like this out of three pieces of 1/4" stock welded together.
crank center needs to be 2 and 3/8" below top frame rail for the rear trans mount to set flat against the "K" member. even if you don't use the stock rear mount and "K" member, the back of the engine will run into the firewall if the front is too high.

here is another pair i just built, with the gussets on the outside to clear the 59a belt better. by bolting on bars into the top side of the pumps, this positions the engine in the correct location to start mocking up the mounts.

One thing that might make fabrication of motor mounts quicker/easier if that is the way you are going to go is to start with the horse-shoe shaped early 50s V8 flathead truck mount. It has the block side already to go - you just need to fab up the mounting pad side.

I happen to have one that I'd be happy to send to you - PM me if you are interested.
