52 f1 tailights, were do they go?

Can any of the barners give me a pic of how the tailights should be mounted on the box, my f1 has a mismatch, the one on the licence plate side is mounted on the front side of the virtical rail next to tailgate and the other side is behind it. the brackets look original. also how is the wire routed out to them? On my '52 F1, I used taillights w/o license plate bracket on both sides and mounted the license place in the middle just below the tailgate hinge. But then I have a "vanity" plate here in AR (52PIKUP) and thought it looked best in the middle of rear end of truck.

That's exactly the way my '48 is, all factory brackets & I've got stopped twice because the cops couldn't read the plate. Funny thing is this state requires front plate which I haven't run in 30 years & I have never been stopped for that.

Our '51 F-1 has a vanity plate (FUN 51) that is partly obscured by the rear bumper, leaving only the FU visible. I have never been stopped by the Police because of that.
