1929 Sedan Delivery: Real or Not?

Its the real deal but not seen a bench seat before Think thats replaced the orig tudor seats , but would be more comfitable i bet . All the rest looks good , Although would like to see more inside shots, certainly it look correct from rear & sides ,
I love my unreastored one , picked it up in Sacramento few years ago,

too bad there is only 1 photo of the seat.
is it possibly the rear portion of a Phaeton body including the back seat?
would like to see a photo of the back side of the seat.......

Looks to me to be an original sedan delivery. The ready test for me is that the rear side panel behind the vertical belt line is not as deep on the delivery as on the tudor. Good luck and enjoy your "find" if you go that direction.

Looks more like the front seat from a fordor, but can not tell for sure. If it truely came from the factory like that it would make more sense since Briggs it is assumed that Briggs provided the back door section as a subassembly to Ford and possibly according to some sources may have assembled the whole body. I am not convinced the the latter. Rod

Thanks for the information. One more question:
Are the original front seat the same as a 28-29 tudor or were they special for a sedan delivery? Thanks again.

I would be most concerned with the seller. Feedback score of "6" with "0%" positive!

Simi Valley isn't too awful far from me. Hmmm....

Spare wheel was on left side, as mine is , Mine had orig seats in it as uphostry on one was orig ,Differant than tudor in uphostry pattern, But seat the same as tudor, There is a tool box in the floor behind the passengers seat of which you must tip the seat forward to get too it , would be hard tipping a bench seat forward ,

All 6 feedback were positive. No feed back from the previous year which is when the % positive is calculated. Sparse activity on feedback to say the least. I would want to see it in person before buying.

Could be because there was no activity on that account for over 12 months. All of the feedback that is there is positive, but it is as a buyer, not a seller.

(looks like Jamie is a faster typer than I am!)

I would at least ask for better photos of the inside, floor, underneath and the repair he mentions on the right quarter panel. The bottom corner in between the rear door and fender edge looks like it has had something done to it.

Here are some pic's of the tool box. It would be nice if the guy would post some other pic's of the interior and if there are any detatched parts. Also the rear door handle is missing. Same handle as the 28 coupes, but a longer shaft and different escutcheon. Both of these items were missing when I bought mine. I was eventually able to find both. I purchased the tool box from a guy in California and have made a deal on the handle which I will get paid for this spring since I am starting a new job very soon. Rod

I asked the seller about the tool box assembly and rear door handle. I was told tha the tool box assembly was there, but he had never looked in it. ( I did not ask if he looked in in or really care). The rear door handle is not there. I do not know anout the latch itself as I did not ask. I see he added pic's and have not given them a close look yet. I am likely reading between the lines here I am wondering if the tool box is in bad shape based on the comment of info I did not ask for. Rod

I live about 1 hr away, maybe I should drive over ad look at it,my wife might kill me though, I promised her no more "projects" until I get at least 1 Model A done! lol

If I didn't already have one and had the money I would be bidding on this one for sure. I hope whoever gets this one is on Fordbarn and would sell me the wood when they are done with it as I am going to need something for patterns now that I can start to see things turning around. Hopefully by mid spring I can resume work on mine. Rod

Whoever purchases it will need a sacrificial Tudor body for both lower rear quarters.
