Rainmaker Remedy-pick up package tray

There is not much room for "stuff" in a pick up so I added a package tray. The tray is made from part of a white vinyl rain gutter so you gotta squint to see it in this picture because the truck is white also.
The tray is only 2 1/2 inches wide but holds more than you might imagine and is real handy!

You would have had more room for a package tray if you didn't have one of those fancy pickups with the large rear window!!

great idea, Ron. I'm just finishing up my pickup and now would be a good time to install one. I bet I could paint it to match the Andalucite Blue interior. How did you attach it?

Great idea Ron. That is what was needed on my trip to Maine. There's nowhere to put anything in a pickup and if you lay something on the seat between you and passenger, it usually slips down between the cushions and ends up under the seat. Could you post some close-up photos of the corners of the tray. I am definitely going to do something very similar in my pickup.

Only used 4 screws down into the wood belt rail at the top of the seat. I tried a snap together idea for the ends that did not work so I taped the ends with Gorilla tape. The tape is the ugly blak at the ends in the picture.

I taped the ends in when the first idea failed. I think a small block of wood would work.
