Mot, what is the name of the pictured sub please? There is a bell going off in my memory at the sight of your "bow".

it was the sea owl
i spent 4 years on her traveling all over the atlantic ,mediterranian(sp) and the carribian we also searched for debris when the thresher went down and got our photo on the front page of the NYtimes
the bow was the forerunner of the latest sonar
when it first was put on, they were able to detect ships clear across the atlantic, and it took them a while to discover they were hearing that far
i would love to make a few more dives on a sub
i did over 1,000 on this one

Mot,

Fantastic exerpience "1,000" Dives"... My hats off to you for your serice and hard work in that demanding environment.

What's up with all the Navy guys? Are there no other Army vets besides me?

U.S. Army 1967-1969

1963 - 1965 (By the way, Applebees provided a free meal for vets and did it with style. All the words of thanks to the vets, from many of the staff, had my wife near tears.
