cutting hole in plastic firewall cover

I have used rotozips for plastic, and they do require a measure of skill to do a job neatly. I'll repeat my idea... How about a sheet metal nibbler?

I have found a buddy that has the tool I am looking for. He says I can borrow it at any time. It is a Dremel Multimax MM20. Neat tool.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Do you have all the "fittings" to install the heater?? If so, where'd you get them??
Would like to put one in my A.

Yes, I am installing a NOS heater, still in the box. Everything is there. There is a guy in Atlanta, Don Collier who has a lot of parts. Look him up in the directory and give him a shout. Don't let him talk your ears off. LOL

My buddy brought his tool, and his skill, and cut the hole in my plastic firewall cover for me. Now that is a true friend. We also used a knock out punch to cut two neat holes for the heater connections to come through, and only had to drill one 7/16 hole for the main bolt that hangs it to the firewall. I will do the plumbing of the gas and exhaust lines, maybe over the next few days. That is all a one man job.

Thanks for all the tips fellows, and thanks Dave Sentinella for the loan of your tools and talents.

i knew you could do it, Lawson....hopefully it will all go together....and you'll be nice and toasty.....Mike
