Need a ford part number

Can anybody look up the Ford part number for the following:
early 80's power steering mounting bracket for 302 engine.
used with rack and pinion steering BEFORE THE SERPENTINE BELTS SYSTEM, when they still used a V-belt system.
Must have a provision for adjusting the tightness of V-belt.
The bracket must be for the later model pump with plastic reservoir and large filler tube, Ford used this pump with rack and pinion steering through the 80's and early 90's.
Also, if you have this bracket for sale , I need one.

As I remember... ... you need to look @ early to mid-eighties full size 302's. It had a multi-rib drive belt for the ALT and a V-Belt for the PS or PS/AC.

The pump style you are describing is the FORD CII. The pump is adjustable within the mounting bracket (as I remember).

:(

Let me try this again as advanced CRS is overtaking my frail aged body... :o

I believe you need to locate a 80/886 CROWN/GRAND/TOWN with the STD 5.0L to find what you want. The Basic PN on the pump mtg bracket is 3C511. The ALT was driven by twin V-BELTS, and the PS (sans AC) was driven by a Multi-Rib belt. It is difficult to find a parts illustration or photo as FORD did not show the components as an assembly but differing components were located in different sections of the catalog. I believe there was also an adjustable idler pulley and the pump mounting was fixed.

I have wanted to find a donor for years to find this out (memory too bad to remember that far back) but laziness has prevented it.

If you do find a donor, please take a couple of photos as many ask this same question.

Hope this helps and not confuses.

Here are some mounting diagrams from the 1984 SHOP MANUAL. The HO is serpentine and the STD is multi-belt.

Hope this helps. Please keep us informed as to what you find-

Maybe he will see this & reply but you can try to pm raceron1120. He was a Ford dealer Parts Manager during that era.

Wish I could help but I don't have a set of books from that era, and my memory ain't all that great any more.

I guess I will wait until he comes around again. I am interested in whether he used a Cavalier (GM) rack or successfully transplanted a FORD design rack. The pressure/volume problems usually surface trying to pressure a GM rack with a FORD pump. Most kit vendors suggest going to a Saginaw pump.
