Mac's shipping charges again

I avoid Macs as much as possible. High freight and long waiting time. They seem to get their catalogs and notices that their catalogs are being mailed with no problem.

Need to check back with them. I had the same problem. After two weeks I did not receive my part. Called them and I was told they had the wrong address don't know why they did not call me. Than I got the part within 3 days.

Job Lot Boys....Job Lot...Mac's isn't the only place in town. I have never been disappointed.

We all pay more for USPS services than the Post Office collects. We just pay it in taxes. Of course the Post Office can charge less when they operate at an annual loss. All of the other carriers opperate in the real world and if they were to opperate at a loss each year, they would be gone.

The USPS has not received tax money subsidies since the 1980s.

Ken (who is a dealer of MAC's parts), Rick McIntosh (President of MAC's here). I appreciate you taking my call moments ago to confirm we have fully resolved your concern.

Couple things I want to share:

**As of Wednesday Sept 19th MAC's has new "Fixed Rate Shipping" schedule so that our customer in the 48 Continental states will know exactly what their shipping is before they place orders on web or over the phone. So far this has been a big success as it allows a RETAIL customer in the Continental US to know EXACTLY what parts and shipping will be. Our website has this in place...

**We continue to work on improvements to "order processing time" as I am NOT satisfied with how quick our company gets orders out the door. He know we need to get orders out faster and are working on it.

**We do monitor forums like this on occasion and are constantly trying to make improvements to our parts, customer service and order processing. I always encourage customers to call and give us a chance BEFORE posting on webs.

I have read every comment associated to this "string" and it seems like 50% are not overly happy with MAC's and 50% understand the economics of shipping and are okay with what MAC's does in an overall view.

We will never be able to make every customer happy but all I ask is for those that have issues please reach out to our customer service department (800-777-0948) to allow us a chance to resolve whatever issue or concern it is that you have before posting.

If you do not get satisfaction from our customer service reps and or their managers then please reach out to myself at RickM@macsauto.com with details and I will see what we can do to help.

Thanks you for both the harsh words as well as kind words about MAC's. It does make us a better company.

Happy Motoring

You might want to actually research why the post office is in financial trouble.

according to what I see,

"The USPS does get some taxpayer support. Around $96 million is budgeted annually by Congress for the "Postal Service Fund."

I also see they have operated at about a billion dollar profit over the last 5 years , so I guess I will eat most of my comment. :o
