Hi !

Can someone let me know the best way to remove the shift lever.
(someone has bent my lever towards the steering wheel, why ?)
I see there are nubs on the end near to where lever conects to shifting rod, are these spring loaded or is it a roll pin ?

The two "nubs" are actually spring loaded. You must press in both simultaneously to release the pin holding the lever in place. An extra hand helps as it may be sticking a bit due to the old rubber.
Why it may have been bent is anyone's guess. Perhaps the linkage is (was) worn out and a non-mechanical type thought that was way to compensate for the wear.

Thanks Kube !
I will give it a go, being mindfull of the rubber which I hope might also be replacable.
CR.
