What year and body style is it ?

The Model A I inherited arrived today .. First question is, what is it? What year and body sytle? The title and registration from California says it's a 1930 TNSD .. but from the "rounded" windows and the slant front windshield from what I read that make it 1931 ? it's got the 3 windows but is it a town sedan as the registration says or is it a fordoor? ? a bit confusing .. plus someone put 16" wheels and 1932 headlights on it... the interior is shot, but looks like originally it was ( a green or brown) "mohair"? Thanks for your help ..

It appears to have some 1930 features. Hard to tell about the windshield in this shot, but if it's slanted that would be a 1931 feature. Those aren't 1932 headlights. More photos would help.

It has a '30 Radiator Shell. It appears to have the two piece running board aprons, which are '30.

It is NOT a Slant Windshield. I believe you are referring to the fact that the windshield is hinged and allows it to open out for ventilation. This picture here illustrates a '31 Slant Windshield. Notice the body itself is "slanted" and that there is no exterior sun visor.

Pictures of the interior would help others identify Town Sedan versus Fordor.

Great car to have fun with!

I see a 1930 4 door town sedan, that is not a slant windshield. If the rear seat has a fold down center armrest and domelight towards the rear seat that would confirm my observation

The headlights look like after market sealed beams, they've been going for pretty good
money on Ebay.

Boy, you guys are good!! Thanks to you all... Yes, it's hinged windshield .. so it's not slanted that's for that... and Yes, it has the armrest in the back and had the dome-light .. ( no cover over the chicken wire right now!) .. I believe you are right, they are after-market lights ( I was always told they were 32' but nice to know they aren"t) .. would you leave them on or replace them with originials ?

Matt,
There was a pair of new in the box 682's on Ebay that just sold for $790. The ones on Bills car look a little longer than 682's.

Lucky you! It looks great. If the engine and brakes are original it would be prime to keep it original and restore the wheels and lights etc. There are fewer and fewer all original cars left.

Lube all the moving parts, make sure the mechanicals are good and drive it as is for now. You'll have lots of fun and can take your time finding the right wheels and headlights. A Mexican blanket works great over worn out seat covers.

Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like the headlight doors (rims) are larger diameter than the buckets (i.e., bell-shaped) - 682 doors and buckets are the same diameter where they meet (i.e., bullet-shaped). FYI 682C (with parking light) and 682J (without parking light) are being reproduced.

Ok so a closer look see pics looks like you guys narrowed it down to a 1930 4 dr Town Sedan ... with after Market Glide 682s, and the Armrest in the middle of the back with a dome light in the center of the back wall. Is it a Murray Body? from the shape of the windows I would guess yes from what I learned today.. Shouldn't there be a stamp of the body type somewhere ? Can I get numbers off this thing somewhere to learn more about it? Good thing is that mechanically it seems to be in good shape.. through and through but the interior is shot ( wood is actually pretty good ) almost no rust anywhere .. A few dings, bumps and divots ... What do you think!

Yes a 1930 TowN SedaN, yes a Murray, no, no numbers that that identify if further except for when made, not what it was made into.
