the engine is rebuilt with 1\8 over bore. i have replaced the carb, dist, wires, fuel pump, ign resistor. the stk c oil has been replaced with an up dated unit. ihave been working for three years and have tried everything that peaple have sugested. i have been a mechanic for most of my 76 years, but this realy has me going... The last thing i did was to bypass the fuel pump with an elect unit.... It will start and idles fine. but when i go on the road it cuts out and acts a though it might quit... Which it has many times that is why i carry a strap... i believe it has more miles on the strap tha under its power... it seams to be related to heat, when it quits it willstart running rough and slowley shuts down. after it cools down,(15 min or so) it will start up and acts ok......ANY AND ALL SUGESTIONS WILL BE WELCOMED
