Well I assume that has passed a lot of months, I wished go fast with the project to show the process, but for many reasons I don't have any lucky...

I sandblasted the cowl, doors and some parts, applied a phosphating paint. The panels doors were not sandblasted the idea is replace the entire panels in both doors...
I received from Kiwi konnection the 1932 quarter panel drawing and I'll start to make a wooden structure to begin with the process of fabricate the quarters panels...

A very worthy project. It will be a lot of work for you in this process. Are you experienced in metal shaping?

No I haven't any experience in metal shaping, a friend of mine have the challenge, I'm a carpenter and I'll make the wood structure for him...
I know is a very difficult work but with time and effort I think it's possible make it.
The idea is to keep the proportions and beads as close as possible, I don't care if the surface is not completely smooth!

Quarters are a big project to start with! I could see making your own trunk lid and the panels above and below it. The sub rails are somewhat easy with some pre bent sheetmetal and a simple shrinker-stretcher. Why not try to find a pair of quarters first, and make everything else? Are the drawings of roadster or coupe quarters? I seem to see a bead around the wheel well like a coupe Any way, best wishes on your project. Rich

Check out the metal meet web-site when you have time. It has many examples of shaping that you can learn from. There are also folks on the jalopy journal (HAMB) site that build bodies by hand. It can be done. If you have access to another body it will help for patterns but the drawings look to be a good start. It is also faster with the aid of certain machines but that will only speed the process up. Anything can be done by hand with patients & know how. You might make some scrap metal along the way but a 32 roadster is worth the effort.

You have a great project. Stay focus. It will happen, it just takes time. I spent 8 months metal finishing my 34 three window before the frist coat of primer went on.

What a great project!! I've got to ask, where did you get those drawings from?? Are they available for all A's as well? I have a full scale drawing for a 32 frame that one day I'll build from scratch would love some detailed body drawings for a 30-31 roadster.
Cheers.

Yes are 32 roadster quarters drawings... I only saw two deuce roadster by pictures in my country, and are about 300 miles from my hometown, I have seen for sale a few 2 windows and 4 windows, also a man offered me a Victoria body, I was lucky to get this 32 phaeton which was missing the rear.
Model A is famous in my country and there are lots of people who have a model A, but the knowledge we have about the model 32 is very limited, so this opens up a gap of possibility of finding some 32 parts in a junkyard because the people pay more attention to models A and later V8 models...
The drawing comes from Kiwi Konnection, kiwi Makes Some excellent chassis works, contact http://www.kiwikonnection.org/

Thanks for the reply man!! I frequently visit The Hamb and the metal shaping webs, there a lot of info about metal shaping tools, techniques and some incredible projects...

Thanks for your words, don't bother about time, I'll give it all the time necessary to do a good work...

Here are shots of just some of the equipment you will need ,But my advice is to get the 1/4 from Brookfield ,and focus on the rest of the car .

Congratulations and really looks like a great start to a roadster. I wish I could find half the parts you have found.
