29 roadster upholstery question

True, LB has never offered it correctly but they DO have the flap that goes rearward over the tack rail. On the LB version the welting that you see between the cushion and the flap is in a straight line from side to side with the ends of the welting drawn straight over the tack rail instead of defining the shape of the cushion.

you know, Snyder's claims to be great at springs, do they make a spring that duplicates the original?

Wouldn't that be the wood tack strip?

Also, the springs, I think they are made by one company, either Snyder's
or Brattons...but I can't remember which one.

well sure, they would screw into the wood strip but the repro seat rests flush and above the strip and does not facilitate installing the snaps.

Marco I see that L-B has put some kind of extra flap there that gets tacked down first. I suppose that flap, like the original, is to provide extra fastening for the seat. I'd be even more thrilled if the seat top looked remotely original. I ordered a top boot without anyone ever reminding me of the Model "A" repro parts motto: "oh by the way, that doesn't fit very well".
