Hood Props

I'm going to install hood props on my '31 S/W. After searching the threads,I haven't found much. I see most suppliers list two differant styles. I would appreciate comments about which type is preferred by those who have them.( I want to be able to leave both sides open at the same time.) Thanks

I have one of these on my car, and I am very happy with it.
I can't imagine how the original owners of these cars manage to avoid scratching, denting, and bending their hoods without this type of support!

Bought them and have been very happy with them....they fit tight and no rattling

I have both style
I prefer the spring type on hood rail
you don't have to open or close them

I have the same type as shown in Snyders cat on my 31 S/W sedan & with the short arms you can leave them down & still close the hood.On 28-29s with the smaller hood,you would have to flip them up before closing the hood.

I have the pop up type Snyders A-16608-X. Easy to install work well have only had them for a short time, but so far so good.

Thanks Aok, I hadn't seen these. The price and ease of installation makes them an obvious 1st choice.

Just a safety warning. Before you install it, de-burr the formed channel edges. I filleted my finger on mine before I took the rough edges off.
Also, you might tighten the screws a little. Stops the rattles.
