I just put a new fatman front clip on my 55 ford club sedan and i was wondering what engine mounts to use to put my 272 y block back in the car. has anyone else done this? chassis engineering doesn't make y block mounts does anybody know who does or can anybody help me with any other possible ideas. thanks carguy 01

Mounts for a FE are the same as Y-Block. Will this work for you? Speedway FE Mounts

thank you friends, I never knew fe mounts were the same. but what wuld i use on the boxed frame to support them

There are times when you have to come up with your own solutions. Get the motor back in there in position, make a cardboard mockup of some supports, transfer to metal, tack together and trim to fit, tack in place and check for clearances on everything else that may need to use the same space. All good - weld in place.

I thought the frame side was the same, but the engine side was different.

Mac's lists them as the same part #'s thru '59. I don't have a parts manual for anything later than that. But I was actually pointing out the frame part in Speedway that he could bolt to his frame.
