anyone have closeup pics . . .

Lot's of differences...Your best bet is to get a copy of the NEW MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards to view for yourself.

Steve, I'll never be so interested in judging standards as I'm building a Huckster pickup for fun. Just want to get the right caps. No pics anyone?

When you said "...of a correct 1931 hub cap?? " The first thing that jumps to my mind is fine point. Since you are not interested in that, the '28-'29 will only fit the '28-'29 wheels and the '30-'31 hub caps will only fit the '30-'31 wheels.

There is also an very early '28 cap.

Pete,

Well then, if you are not interested in "judging standards"...then how about "restoration guidelines"?

Now those will tell you what is right and wrong, what to use and not to use on any given year or month of vehicle you are building plus they will tell you the "right caps" to use for your 1931 Huckster wagon OR any other part as that goes.

Just trying to put a plug in for the sales of this fine MARC/MAFCA publication!

Well.....I would think it depends on which wheels you have. The 21's take a cap
that is about 3.25", the 19's are about 5" (best guess). So, what do you have?

Well with a 30/31, I have 19" wheels, right?? I mean they would be correct for the year.I have parts being put together to make a truck. The frame we figured out some time ago was a springish '31. So where I was coming from was looking on ebay and such, you see caps mentioned correcct for all years of Model As. I didn't think that was correct, wanted to make sure. Just wanted to know if there were differences so I could judge what I was buying.
