1929 engine block with uncommon aftermarket pump. Anyone seen this kind of pump on other A's or anywhere else?

I have a couple of those.I always called them tubular water pumps. One came with a perfect four blade fan, that's what I was after. When I hung the fan up with the others I have I realized the blades are reversed. It is meant to blow out the radiator, not draw air in.

That reminds me of when I worked at the yard and noticed one day that someone had installed the fan backwards on the big loader. It will still push the air out the radiator, but with very little flow compared to having the curved blades facing the correct way. It took some talking to finally convince the boss that it was installed wrong.

Some equipment blades are made to be reversed for the winter, but they have to be designed for it.You can't just flip the blade over.I have a Lorraine loader with a Cummins engine in it.It came with two fans, one for the summer that blew out the radiator, and another that blew back over the engine and towards the operators seat. There is even a compartment behind the seat to store the spare fan blade. The man that bought the loader new told me the most warmth you will get out of changing that fan to the reverse one is from the sweat you will work up while changing it.
