stearing colume bushing?

the ole merc. needs some help. which is the best? my friend gave me a bob drake bushing that is rubber with a bushing inside. i hear you can get ones with roller bearings. what ones are the best an do they help. reguards dick t.

Dick, go with the bearing and sleeve supplied by many of the V-8 Vendors, Try C and G Parts in Escondido, Ca. or Sacramento Vintage Ford.

Merc, Click on this thread below and page down to my last post to see pictures of what I think may be the best bearing kit available for the early Ford upper steering column. Others have also mentioned this one but seeing the pictures may allow you to better understand the cost vs. quality of this kit.
