I got a front bumper for my 37 Ford Tudor. There is a license plate bracket on the bumper bracket.. All of the pictures I have seen have only had a license plate in the rear.. Was this a option?? Thanks.. Al

I think they were installed at the factory but some stared only issued a license plate for the rear so I'm sure a lot of them were removed. I know I removed the ones on our '39 Ford and '39 Lincoln Zephyr.

Thanks.. I knew it had to be something.. Looking at some of those cars. The bumper sits a good foot off the ground. Mine is about 6". I lowered the front by 4".

All cars and commercial vehicles came factory equipped with a front license plate bracket.

Huh. I have seen them for the rear. Looked like they went on the tail light. I have to have two of them for my regular cars, but with Street Rods.. Only one in the rear. I am thinking of retractable plate in the rear. I also have 55 Watt halogen backup lights. ( driving lights under the car in the rear..)
