is there a book or manual out there for a 31 model a truck, i would like to know where things go and what was available for them, i'm taking one apart and want to know if i'm missing stuff, for when it goes back together, i got boxes of parts with it, so want to make sure it goes together right, is there anyone in N.H that has a 31 pu, also it looks like it was green with black fenders is this a standard color, thanks

This book helped me alot when I was restoring my pickup. You can get it at http://macsautoparts.com/model-a-restoring-the-model-a-pickup-pua/camid/MDA/cp/JS0R3CHL1065415/

Also the Judging Standards are quite helpful.

Yes the judging standards and a full size copy of the ford service bulletins are a must. They would overrule any other non ford document if there is a conflict

Green and black was a standard color,I have a couple of 30 trucks, and have had 31's.We can dig up a couple more for you to look at,depending on where you are in N.H.N.H.is roughly 90X200 miles,so you could be 3 miles or 200 miles from me.

The service bulletins you can buy online(Amazon or the book outlet of your choice)or you can buy them from any of the vendors.I would go for the big paperback version instead of the prettier hard bound version. You can lay that on a bench and put a wrench on it to hold it open, the hard cover one you almost have to ruin to hold it open on a bench.Depending on what town you're in near Concord you're about 35 miles from me.There is a club near you,I forget their name, but they are a chapter of MAFCA.They are out of Bow,and they do have a lot of informal get-togethers.A bunch of them meet up and hang out at a fellows house on Logging Hill road once a week.Nice bunch of guys, they've invited me to many things they do.I never made it to the hangout sessions because they have them on a day when I'm working. My friend and I could go over your truck if you like,we have 8(I think)A's between us.We go out and crawl around at night if there is something worthwhile for us to leave for.Climbing over other peoples A's is always a good reason. We also save our old parts catalogs and give them to people like you.Brattons,Snyders,Mac's,PV.We are in Epping.PV antique Ford is not too far from you in Tewksbury, you can jump on 93,get off at RT 38,you can just go pick your parts.
