Screened Express Trucks

Years ago I remember seeing pictures of Model A Ford Screened Express Trucks and thought they looked great. I haven't seen one in quite a while... anybody have one to post pictures? Where have they disappeared to?

There was a red one with a CRAGER overhead conversion that was seen at all the West Coast meets in the 1970's. Joe Lombardo owned it, and has since passed on, hope the current owner takes it out now and then. Google Joe Lombardo AA and a Ford Barn thread pops up with a photo of it. Why I can't cut and paste from one thread to another is a question for Ryan. Bob

I can give you the sad story on that 157" open cab express. It was originally screened and was used by the City of San Francisco as a paddy wagon. Sold as surplus by the city and purchased by a farmer for use on the farm. Years later bought by another person who put it in the condition you see in the above picture. It was last sold on eBay for ten grand. The current owner has torn it down. Sold all the running gear and is building a cobbled up street rod out of the frame and body parts. I bought all of the running gear except the engine. Another great and extremely rare AA model is now history. :-(
