1931 Widebed Top Strips?

A friend is installing the top on his 1931 Widebed P/U and Bratton's shows 2 different metal strips as being correct for the front and rear.

He bought the 1/2" wide aluminum which gets nailed and the two sides get tapped together. He is going to have the steel rain gutter and aluminum pieces powdercoated. Has anyone powdercoated the aluminum pieces? And will powdercoating hold up to folding over?

Does anyone have a picture of the correct trim, and how it meets the rain gutter in the front and rear? Thanks

Tom:

I wasn't paying close attention either. The steel top does have the same rear strip, but it seals two metal sections, not a steel and a cloth section. I have sent pics of the wifes truck. I would take note that at the sides of the rear 2-piece molding that you make the the top portion of the molding about 1/2" to 5/8" longer than the bottom section. The bottom section will stop at the top of the drip rail, but the top section should be flattened out and tucked under the drip rail. If you don't do this the top portion of the molding has a habit of bending back out of the bottom part.
