Subrail confirmation

I Joint the Barn for the wealth of "A" info and photos, I have searched and looked at pics but can't find the answer I am looking for. I am working on assembling a 29-30 "A" from cheep parts. I picked up a subrail section from the A post to B post, I was told it was out of a 30 coupe and don't doubt it. The problem is it was cut off at the A post and there is a tab with a large hole in it, I think it is supposed to bolt to the bottom of the post but have been unable to confirm it.

pics get the point across.

Looks like a Coupe seat frame to me, the rear subrail crossmember is from a Sedan, Coupe/Roadster has round corners.

Thats a 30 early 31 coupe seat frame. If the rear subrail C-member has about a 2"radius on the outer corners, its for a coupe, otherwise its for a sedan. I believe the tab on front is riveted to the bottom of the A post.

Here we have forward right & left door jambs on a green 30 coupe. You can just see both sill plates.

Pic 3 is my original in epoxy.

Pic 4 Far bottom right shows the lower post hole. That would take a body rivet which originaly had waffle pattern crimping.
(please ignore the crappy patch, I cut it off and used the perfect fit Stipe Machine panels)

Thank you for the replays, my lower sections of the cowl are rusted out or home made patches so there is no holes or parts of holes. I wasn't sure if the holes in the subrail were to rivet/bolt to the extension piece.

The rear cross member is for a sedan, it was not mentioned because it will not be an OE vehicle.

Craig, that's a pretty fancy adjustable, chrome plated frame support you have. Is that it's original purpose?

That was a parallel bar walking support unit from a hospital or physiotherapy clinic.
Found it at a scrap yard, made a few cuts and welds and bingo!
Besides holding the frame, the blue padded bars (firehose covered) actually reach right underneith and will hold the completed body underneith the subframe without crushing the edges.
It was a real lucky find.
