Any love for the Falcon here?

I realize this is the Late V8 forum, but I wondered if there were any other Falcon enthusiasts hereabouts too.

David, nice clean cool car. I like them, but havent owned one. Didnt they have 144 and 170 cu in engines? Seems like their gas mileage might be something to envy.

I owned a '61 base model, no-radio 2 door Falcon when I was a kid, and sold a lot of parts for 'em in later years. Also owned a '64 Comet 2 door - basically the same car except for sheet metal & a few doo-dads. Pretty good little cars.

In the early 70's I put a MR427 in a 60 Falcon, straight axle and a C6. Great fun as long as you were going straight!

My wife took me to the neighbor hood she grew up in a few months a go and one of her old friends were having a yard sale so we stopped the dad saw my tattoo and told me to follow him to the back yard, I go back there to find a 1 owner 64 Falcon that has been sitting sence 75ish, 500 later its mine still in his yard tho i have no room

Had a 60 2dr. wagon back then w/144 engine stick. Kinda wish i still had it. It was good running and had nice lines to it. ken ct.

If you are planning any upgrades you may want to check this out: www.fordfalcon2000.com lots of info in the Restoration section) I had a '62 Falcon with a 144 years ago, sure was EZ on gas.

All of my mods are going to be subtle. The 14-inch wheels you can see. I'll also be adding a '57 Ford overdrive (lets me keep the column shift), a '65 Mustang 200ci engine (has a 1968 Falcon 170 currently), and Scarebird disc brakes in front.

www.fordsix.com has some fun stuff too.As long as you are adding the disc brakes check out the section on power brakes at fordfalcon I referred to on the above post,it's a real money saver.
