Restored 1919 Model A...had been found at the site of a federal prison...thought to be owned by Al Capone...have had for several years...only used in parades...want to get top dollar for this point in time...any suggestions on where and how to market would be appreciated.

What body style? Without some proof of the Al Capone story, that won't add much, if any, value. Ebay or one of the national car auctions will get you top dollar. You'll just need lots of good pictures and get the word out nationally.

Its not April 1 yet. Al Capone was my dad and he never drove any cheap cars like a Model A.
You wouldn't like my suggestions.......

You might want to try these guys to authenticate the Al Capone angle.

Maybe Capone drove the Model A to Federal Prison after he got off of the train. Tons of Capone myths out there. Especially out here where I live.

Tell us when you put it on eBay, we'd all like to see Al's A. More importantly, we'd like to see the provenance and proof, so that you can get "top dollar at this point".

If Al Capone owned it I would not want it, he was jerk.

Oh, Al Bundy. I was thinking Ted Bundy.

That's his brother,in the early days they sold shoes out of the "A" Al joined a national shoe store chain and Ted continued on the road. He didn't sale many shoes though.....must have been busy doing something else:rolleyes:

Did Al Capone realy die in jail mabe he faked his death snuck out and lived a straight and fruitfull life after escaping. my granpaw looked like him had a scare on his face and missing a finger. didn't you get a finger chopped off if you wanted to leave the family.

Is this the car?

Only four positive posts out of 19. That is pretty poor. C'mon guys, don't make this Forum like the other one where they allow slamming. We have a good thing going here.

Well, claiming a Capone association without presenting the provenance invites question, if not ridicule. And the slams here don’t get near as vicious as they do on the ‘the sound a "Model A" Ford car horn makes’ forum. But you’re right, it’s a slippery slope. You may recall a spirited discussion you and I had on the other site when I objected to the slamming there. In that vein, my negative post in this thread was hypocritical and I have deleted it.
