1935 Ford Truck Interior Color

Does anyone out there have a 1935 Ford truck that is still in the original paint? Could you post some interior photos if you do?

I'm trying to figure out if the interior was completely painted in the exterior color or were parts of it finished in black.

The interior of the 35-36 Ford pickups were body color except for the steering tube, dash rail, pedals, window garnish moldings if it had them, and the pieces that surround the doors, were all black. Just say everything that fastens to the interior of the cab was black. This does not mean the upholstery was painted black. lol. Upholstery was black or gray black artificial leather. Same for door trim panels.

Now that's interesting because I've seen two different trucks, one green and one red, that look like they had the remains of the original paint and in both of these trucks EVERYTHING in the cab was body color.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you come up with this info?

And thanks!

my truck was yellow inside, then painted green

Well, Lawson and I have looked at more than two pickups and looked at all the original photos that we could find at the Ford archives and this is where we got this information!!!

I am as we speak, working on the 35-36 Pickup book. I need to clarify that the filler panels on the header panel, that hide the hinges and wiper motor, are painted body color, not black. My bad. Sorry 'bout that. lol

Hey Lawson,

What are the "pieces that surround the doors"?

Any chance you could post some photos of a stock interior?

Thanks again
