Ebay stuff

I used one very similar to that to tow my model A from Idaho to California,it worked perfect and we went 65 mph across Nevada with it

So just to be clear... are you saying you attached this device to your Model A bumper?

That can't be true, we have all read here that the bumper will come off or the transmission and/or the rear gears will be destroyed!

The 32 fords are the same. things like a mid 50's hemi motor come up saying for a 32 ford. I think they figure more people search on a 32 or a model A and that will make their item get seen more.

There's currently a 1924 model A on Australian ebay, as well as parts for a 1932 model A. Hmmmm, maybe I'd better learn more about the years A's were made.

On the other hand, I've gotten good deals on model A parts that were not identified correctly. For example, I got a nice pair of tail lights for $10 that were called '32 - '35 lights in the description but were clearly Model A from the photos.

I have seen early V8 fords (32-48) on fleabay listed as "Model A". How do so many (stupid, ignorant or unknowing) people come up with these cars to sell? LOL!

yes i do believe you are on to something! have you noticed all of the model a plastic hub caps and seat covers for model a s'.what about the 3 stromberg aluminum carb spacers.the electric wire connectors for your model a,harbor freight stainless steel screw set for your 28 ford sedan delivery?? greed is a funny thing, there is a sucker born everyday and you will find them on ebay.Billy

Two constants that I've noticed on Ebay, beware of the sell anything but sell guys, who are pushing absolute garbage twisted junk with a photo that reveals little or anything of its true quality.Freight charges, are another and there does not seem to be any sense of fairness when it comes to how much Ebay vendors will ask for freight. If you can't get much for the item sold then presto, make it up in freight charges, easy.I will also say that is getting hard to find an original used part amongst all the other vendor crap thats A related.

yes GOOD original parts are rare!and when they do show the BIG buck boys are all over them, sniping at the last 1/10th.of second.so it has become a battle of the bucks, how bad do you really want it!when it is usually only worth half of what is payed.other dealers or shops are buying it up.

I was searching E-bay for Model A items and came across fenders for a 1962 Buick. Sent a report to E-Bay, but noticed some time later that the items were still there.

It's true that you can find some good deals by intentionally misspelling the item you're searching for, since they won't appear in most peoples searches, but this wasn't even close.

I would have liked to had the seller demonstrate how those fenders fit on a Model A.

I just go to Auctions only and parts and acc. this get rid of most of the trash...models,car covers, horns, plates. My oddball find is a Model A Ford fishing lure thats never been opened for under $20.00
Wick

Like was said previously they inclcude as many cars and models as possible so you'll see their merchandise. You know you could have a 62 Buick in the other bay of your garage and need a fender for it.

Anytime that you get an email that you question from eBay open another tab and get on your "My Ebay" and check your messages there. If no message then you got a bogus eBay email. You can also do checks on other sites also.
