Friction shocks

I'm on my second A with friction shocks. Don't be afraid to make adjustments, tweak the settings and experiment with the settings. I did have to replace the friction media after 11 years. While they may not be "correct", friction shocks are a good inexpensive alternatives.

Best price is at Speedway Motors

I have them on my speedster, they work fine. I prefer hydraulics for my full-fendered cars as I suspect they will last longer??? I'm putting '34 shocks on my tudor now, they bolt right on but are thicker so move more fluid resulting in stiffer action. (I hope?) I know Dennis puts quite a few miles on his, so maybe fricton shocks are more reliable than I thought? They were common on race cars because of light weight and adjustability.

My PU has friction shocks. That's what it had when I bought it a couple years back, seem to work just fine.

I used them on my speedster. They were a freeby from a friend that took them off
of a sedan that he was restoring and I thought I would try them and to my suprise
they work very well.
