3 months after hospital stay, hobbled to Minerva, in neutral, key on, 6year old battery with no charger, choke on, NO START! gas guage on "E". Ah! gas evaporation bandit stole my gas! Awakened @ 2:17 A.M. and said, "Oh sh...t, forgot to turn the gas on!" ( cork had "SUNK" during my long absence )don't feel like the loan arranger. a very famous author forgot to turn on the key at fine point. I belive it was Roger Kaufman that pointed it out to him...fwiw,jm
I'm fixing to put key start switch on "VERMIN," with a solenoid as with my leg braces, I can't get my toe on the stock starter button. I'm glueing a patch of leather on the gas tank to eliminate possible shorting behind ignition switch wiring and tank. I use leather behind junction box also, just in case of a short there. Now if someone would make a key/start switch that would fit behind the dash panel(Did I say that!)

Did you hear about the 3 legged man? He was a champion Model T dirt track driver in the mid "20's!But then you'd only need three feet, or two feet and four hands, instead of four feet to get going again after stalling the motor on a hill.

I lay awake at night "over-engineering" stuff! Maybe I need to re-polarize my brain! If I had gotten a formal education, I could have been a dangerous inventor. You need a Sparky Start!
Had a Buick powered '53 Stude with a factory "hill holder."But then you'd only need three feet, or two feet and four hands, instead of four feet to get going again after stalling the motor on a hill.
