Where were Argentine Model A's built

Three questions;
1) Where were Model A's bound for Argentina assembled?
2) Would they have the same year dependent parts like the US model A's or would they have "left over" parts. Example, '30 radiator covers on 31' models.
3) Engine/frame numbers, assembly dates the same as USA?

According to the Assembly Record Types, 1928-1931:

1. On July 9, 1928, Buenos Aires, Argentina started to assembly the Model A Ford;

2. Ford shipped parts to Argentina (by ship) as they would of any other assembly plants in the USA;

3. The engine/frame numbering system which was being used by Argentina was that of the USA as they had no special numbering sytstem and this held true for the other South American assembly plants and some Euorpean plants as well for which Ford USA supplied for.

Argentina assembly numbers:

1928 had 04200 assembled vehicles;
1929 had 26121 assembled vehicles;
1930 had 22124 assembled vehicles;
1931 had 10302 assembled vehicles.

Some vehicles may have been shipped already assembled from Dearborn.

Pluck

Did Dearborn build right hand drive vehicles? Argentina was right hand drive. I know that Canada built them as they got sent to New Zealand and other overseas markets. Part of the reason Canadian T's had 4 opening doors when the US built ones only had 3 door tourings. Pat.

OK, then we would have to find Argentina records to see what engine number went into a car when.

So is it possible that passenger cars built in 1931 could have 1930 parts?

I am restoring a late (Sept) '31 Victoria from Argentina that was first sold in April 1932. Everything seems to line up with the judging standards except it does not have the late running board braces.
I have a friend who is also restoring an Argentinian car and the engine in that was prefixed AF........

Cheers

[QUOTE
RHD cars built in England with 'Rouge' engine numbers were called Model AF if they had the small bore engine.[/QUOTE]

Were smaller engines taxed less?

In most European countries, cars were taxed progressively based on engine displacement. For that reason, European engine designs led the way in power efficiency. I don't know if that extended to their respective colonies or to the the British commonwealth countries.
