1933-34 pickup info wanted

Okay, I get it that I and every other 33-34 pickup owner needs steel rear fenders and a front splash apron, but could somebody show me a photo of what they look like off the truck so I can know what I am looking for ?:D

Also, is there any source closer to me than new york to buy an original style bed. I don't mind paying for one, I just don't want to pay to ship it around the US Twice.

Seriously, thanks for a terrific site and the good Ford Folks on here.

Attached are a couple of pictures of the front splash pan. When installed it rests UNDER the radiator. I think there are splash pans/panels that fit on each side of the frame to somewhat seal off the sides of the motor. That is just a guess on my part. Maybe someone can verify if there were spash pans on the sides of the motor.

Regarding a pickup bed...look at these two web sites. Maybe those vendors have what you are looking for.

Thanks much, you are right, there are arched panels attached to the frame that are the panels to fill under the hood bottoms.

I see how the apron fits the frame horns, what does the "V" arc in the center have to fit to ?

Heck I thought the beds were only available from MAC's in NY state. They charge to ship from MO to NY and then from NY to AZ. I could pickup in MO if necessary.

thanks

These are from my 34 pickup. My splash apron was a disaster & I'm not very good at body work so I'm not sure it is totally correct.

In your earlier reply you ask ........
I see how the apron fits the frame horns, what does the "V" arc in the center have to fit to ?

The "V" arc allows the pan to fit around the U bolts that secure the front spring to the frame. When I install the radiator + fenders + front exterior apron (not sure what it is called...see earlier picture; it is the black piece between the two fenders) there is a pretty close fit with all the parts sealing off the air flow from the bottom or sides. The only way air can enter is via the grill and radiator. So the "V" to allows for a tighter fit.

I had to do some "repair work" on the one I have and I think it would be pretty easy to make a replacement. Please see your Private Messages.

The 33/34 Fenders have a square pressing to clear the frame rivets over the front spring member,the32 car and pick up dont ,as the rivets are smooth here
How do the 33-34 fenders differ from 32's. I understand the front where it bolts to the frame is different. Is this true?

So is the front splash pan Redhorse has a picture above in post #5 (the one mounted in the frame), are both of those pieces the same as a big truck?

The piece above goes behind the grill and is not visible from the outside. It's purpose along with the engine pans is to keep air going thru the radiator. Not sure if it is called splash pan. There is a Piece that goes beneath the grill and side to side that I would call the splash pan. It is painted and visible from the front. Recommend you purchase the 34 book from the Early V8 Club of America. It has lots of important info you will need in building your truck. Original standard paint schemes were black fenders and bodys painted different color, special fleet orders had all painted same color. Mac Hills stuff is great, it FITS!

stump---- i think it is but would like to confirm it . i have two different spacings on the rear fenders that i have. one spacing matches the 32 frame but the other is spaced further apart. somebody must have a 33-34 pu. frame that they can measure where it bolts on . i asked this question 2 weeks ago--barry
