upholstry cardboard question

Hi All.. I'm restoring the interior in a 30 Town Sedan and i'm wondering where to purchase the cardboard used? I found some good stuff at Michaels but it's small to do the doors.

I have no idea where you are so I cannot tell you but I purchase mine from Farber Sales in Knoxville HOWEVER I would suggest you go to a local Trim Shop and ask them if you can purchase the sizes that you need. They don't need to know that you are doing upholstery and may just think you are doing a "honey-do" craft job for your wife! :D

LB DOES sell the pre-cut panels. If you price the moisture-resistant panel board at a shop, the difference is tiny between buying stock and pre-cut.Just make sure you are pricing apples for apples when you get a price.I did have somebody show me the panel board he bought for quite a bit cheaper at a upholstery supply. It was NOT moisture resistant, and now the panels in his street rod have strange bulges all over. The mailing isn't bad on them either, they are not oversize like the panel stock is.I bought sets for a couple of roadster pickups, and a closed cab.3 or 4 years ago they were about $65.per set.All the holes were in the right places, and they fit.

Thats awesome, I didn't know they did that. That would be a BIG time saver, I'll call them tomorrow and see about the cost. Thanks for the info

I think you can look that up online.I never bother to look things up there because I drive by the store quite a bit.I live pretty close.I know that prices have jumped a lot,but they jumped on all raw materials no matter where you buy.

I purchased boards and the correct material for my corvette from a well known Auto upholster on long Island NY
