Mac's has the set. You will need to shorten your drive line 0.500" and get a s spline coupler to weld into hour hollow drive line. I asked the same questions some time ago and got answers. I have not yet had my driveline shortened but am about ready to do it. See my post "change tubular drive line from 10 to 6 spline 1/22/11 and a post by broderchamp, "Pinion bearing question" but do not know the date. "Randy" form Austin had some of the best info on this subject.
Hope this helps. The gears come with two 1/4" spacers but no instructions.
Ron, I think Speedway has the best price on these gear sets. Also, with some machining/grinding on the '35 to '48 ring gear these later sets can be used in a '34 rear.
Yes, MAC's gears for '34 are $715.00 per set while Speedway gears for '35-'48, which can be machined to fit '34, are $350.00 per set. I can have Speedway gears machined to fit '34 for much less than $365.00. It just depends on where you want to go and how you want to do it. JMO
I have a set of 378 ratio gears that are 10 spline and all the necessary maching work has been done, in fact, it was in a running car, so it is all set up within the banjo or center section ready for installation. A real nice set of gears. $425. plus shipping. Pictures on request. Elmer Swift 805-646-6440 or 805-458-0128
