Found this great Ford Motor Company engine repair manual yesterday. Paid CAN$30. Wish I had it when I was rebuilding my 59A. They had a similar manual for rear axles but it was for trucks.

Nice. Is there one for the passenger car banjo axles? I would like to get one of those.

Yes, the book by Page covers them extensively.

There is also many references in chapter titled, "Transmissions, Axles & Clutches" in the Techno link of my signature.

The big Canadian manual was based on a wartime technical manual and is the best available for the old Fords. I've had one for some time. They have info about just about everything in there. The reprints are pretty good but originals are always better. If CDs are scanned from good copies then they would be less expensive.

The one I have is the 1939 through 1948. It has the US section I first and the Canadian section II second. Most are green colored and are service manuals for Ford and Mercury US and Ford, Monarch, and Mercury in Canada for both passenger cars and trucks. There is also one for 1932 through 1938.
