Refresh my memory please, is the early Model-A oil can have the Base (-for the Cap) with internal or external threads?
Is there anything in the judging standards? Ford made themthroughout he model T era and for the short first half of 1928 production but they were always available clear up through the war as accessories. Jeeps came with them but they may have only had a F marked on. The tractors even cam with them in the early F & N Fordson types. I'm not sure about the 9N & later ones. All the ones I've seen have the female cap threading over the male base but with so many possible sub contracted types, it would be very hard to say unless you know a long time collector that really knows this stuff.
From the 2026 Revisions...
“...the spout was always straight, not curved, with a female thread (to mate with the oil can male thread).”
