Window Felts

I need to replace the window Felts on the top and one side of one door of my coupe. The vendors seem to only sell a full set which I don't need. Has anybody made use of generic window felts from the many sources available? I see some that are of the correct dimensions but may not be for a car that will be judged for points. Mine is a driver car.

Just be glad you are doing a coupe instead of a 1928-early 1931 Town Sedan, even if you end up doing both doors. A Town Sedan = $$$$$$$$$$ and WHOLE lot of frustration working with wooden door frames that warp or if reproduction, improperly cut! Add to that the cost of four door windows, not two. Never again for me!!! I don't need no stinking ulcers and my hair is already gray!

I must have got lucky with the door frames, the felts went in relatively easy. The difficult part is dealing with the door panels.

Like Marshall, I hope I don't have to do it again.

You might consider insulating your doors while you have it apart. It made a world of difference in my Town Sedan.
