I bought this pickup in a field of the owner with its bed laying on the ground. He posted a photo of it from the back. The angle that he photo'd, I could barely see the driver side spare, (wow! a dealer demo!), does it run? It ran when I parked it there behind the barn.

phoned a transport company there in the Missouri/Arkansas area within ten miles of his place. I was in communication with the transport driver.

When the driver said, yep. I'm loadin' it on right now, I sent the owner a check to his bank account for his asking price of 12,500, Upon the transport truck unloading at my place, I realized a flat-on impact to the passenger front fender. hit hard from the edge of the running board(not hit) up to the high point of the fender. Other'n that not a scratch or dent on the truck including the box and tailgate. faded Ford green paint. The windshield surround was Ford's. Still chromed nickled around to the back of the surround. Passenger windshield wiper connected to the driver wiper by a connection rod for that purpose.

*Ford instruction to dealers, demo the truck for a month, with its bright yellow paint /black fenders. Repaint the truck in a Ford color, park it in your showroom for potential buyers.
* Ford yellow-painted their trucks for eye-catching appeal while it was being demo'd.

I scraped a one-inch scrape between the cab and the box. Shure enough! It was yellow underneath the Ford green paint! Reluctantly sold the pickup in order to buy my now '33 3 window. . . . hated to see that pickup go - but now I look at my all-orig '33 with its Ford 'leatherette' rumble seat and orig seat that apparently been covered through the decades.

Thank You!
