Jim Beam bottles

At the local deli today while waiting for my lunch I saw this vintage VW Beetle Jim Beam bottle. It’s still full.
I know that Beam released a bunch of Model A bottles years ago.
Anyone have an idea of how long ago this bottle was released?

About 1973.
Don't get too excited, it has very little worth. Maybe, just maybe, $40 or so. Plus, illegal to ship full.

They made a whole series of those bottles.I have seen them selling up to $200.00 or more on Ebay. But i guess it all depends on what you want to pay for one

If they are in the box and mint, they bring a bit more. $200 you say? That must have been a fluke. The red version typically brings better $ than the blue if the condition is identical. Still, I have never seen one bring $200. I just checked the sold listings and one red VW that was mint went to $129. The next best was $89.
The blue version was much less each time sold.

So the Barrett Jackson adage of "Auction Red" cars bringing more money also applies to Jim Beam bottles.
Licensed liquor dealers can ship booze. Not through USPS but ok w/UPS or Fedex. The receiver has to be over 21 and sign for the package.

A friend of mine gas me one that looks like a Model A. The year 73 sounds about right. Never opened and in the box. I would never sell it since the friend passed away.

I have a few from my grandparents in storage at my moms. I remember them on the bar top when I was a kid and I do believe one is an A roadster.
